About Us: We are a deliberately developmental organization where growth is not just for students—it's for everyone. Our faculty-led school operates through consensus, valuing each team member's voice and wisdom. Our Adolescent Program is built around Cycle Themes that unite across disciplines, emphasizing authentic work, community life, and meaningful engagement with culture and environment.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Native English speaker with excellent command of the language

  • Experience teaching Mathematics and Science at the secondary level

  • Understanding of adolescent development and needs

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Take full ownership of the environment as an active crew member, not a passenger

  • Embrace our "learning by doing" philosophy

  • Demonstrate practical life skills (cooking, gardening, building, problem-solving)

  • Show initiative while valuing collaborative work

  • Be comfortable with both independent decision-making and team planning

  • Possess a growth mindset and eagerness to develop professionally

  • Demonstrate humility in working with adolescents

  • Listen without judgment and allow productive failure

  • Believe deeply in the richness of adolescent development

  • Value authentic work and deep learning

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in overnight trips, harvests, and extended walking journeys

  • Support student-led microeconomy initiatives

  • Engage in community-building activities

  • Collaborate in curriculum development

  • Contribute to our faculty-led school model through shared decision-making

  • Integrate mathematics and science into real-world applications through project work

What We Offer:

  • A supportive, non-hierarchical team environment

  • Opportunity for professional and personal growth

  • Time set aside for meaningful collaboration

  • A beautiful prepared environment

  • A community where mistakes are seen as opportunities for growth

  • Authentic engagement with adolescents in their critical period of development

Your Role Will Include:

  • Teaching Mathematics and Science within our Cycle Themes

  • Participating in community life and projects

  • Collaborating with colleagues across disciplines

  • Engaging in ongoing professional development

  • Supporting students in applying mathematical and scientific thinking to real-world situations

  • Participating in extended travel experiences with students
